Metajna

Metajna is located on the north-eastern part of the island of Pag, in the bay of the same name, 12 kilometres from Novalja. In several places in Metajna there are signposts for the Life on Mars Trail, which you can take from different directions and, depending on your desire and fitness, you can walk 7, 12 or 15 kilometres. All routes are well marked and circular, so all the racers return to their starting place, that is, Metajna. While you walk along the path, you will come across the pristine and harsh nature, discover cosmic landscapes, bays and beaches which are among the most beautiful ones in Croatia, swim in the crystal-clear sea and enjoy the place created for a peaceful or active rest, but also ideal to take a break from everyday life and recharge your batteries while enjoying a good company.
Watch out for the encounters with different animals that inhabit on the island of Pag, especially sheep, which, along with the skilful hands of local people, have made the well-known ‘Paški sir’ (Pag cheese) famous.
