Along with the eco campaign, a new section of LIFE ON MARS 2 has been opened

OPENING OF THE LIFE ON MARS 2 TRAIL
Route: Žigljen – Metajna

On Saturday, May 25, 2024, a new section of the LIFE ON MARS 2 trail was opened on the Žigljen – Metajna route. Summer temperatures and a light wind from Velebit were our faithful companions along the entire trail! The stunning nature, shaped by the blows of wind, sun, and salt, never fails to take your breath away, as do its hidden coves and beaches carved into the wilderness of the Velebit Channel.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the trail opening, to the Trekking League for the idea and implementation, to the travel agency Sunturist d.o.o. for the guides, to Arburoži d.o.o. for assisting in the eco-action of waste management, and to all of you who spent this sunny Saturday in Novalja on the island of Pag and on our Mars!

Trail Description:
The trail is ideal for the pre- and post-season period, for active individuals or guided groups. It is not recommended for families with children or beginner hikers! Its length is 10 km, but if that is too much, it can be shortened to 7 km with an exit at the village of Zubovići. Hiking gear, appropriate footwear and clothing, at least 1 liter of water, food, and a hat are mandatory. The trail is marked with hiking signs, and the estimated hiking time is 3–4 hours.

Trail difficulty: Moderate / Challenging

Parking: Vehicles can be parked at the starting point as well as at the exit point, as the trail is not circular and does not return to the starting location.
