Life on Mars Trail has been awarded the label Croatian Island Product

Novalja Tourist Board Receives Croatian Island Product Label for the “MarsOvca” and “Life on Mars Trail” Events

Ahead of the Feast of St. Nicholas, the Days of Maritime and Inland Navigation were traditionally held in Šibenik. Representing the City of Novalja on the panel “New Investment Opportunities in the Improvement of Port Infrastructure and Municipal Moorings” was Tomislav Kustić, Director of the Novalja Port Authority. The event also featured the Days of Regional Development and Funds, where the Croatian Island Product labels were awarded, as well as the ceremonial signing of grant agreements for EU funds. Following the awards, an Island Council session took place, attended by Prime Minister Andrej Plenković.

On behalf of the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Construction, and State Property, Branko Bačić presented Mayor Ivan Dabo of Novalja with the Grant Agreement for projects funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021–2026, for the project Amendments and Supplements to the Spatial Development Plan of the City of Novalja (Development of a next-generation spatial plan via the electronic system “ePlans” for the City of Novalja). The City of Novalja received €192,000 in non-refundable funds, which represents the maximum co-financing amount and opens new opportunities for further development and improvement of the city.

Additionally, the Ministry of Regional Development and European Funds yesterday, during the Days of Regional Development and Funds in Šibenik, awarded the Croatian Island Product label to the Novalja Tourist Board for the events: “MarsOvca” and “Life on Mars Trail”. This prestigious label is a mark of quality for our local products and projects and proudly promotes and brands the unique cultural identity of the island community.
