Life on Mars Trail

In the race for last year’s prestigious “Simply the best” award, Novalja won with the Life on Mars Trail in the Sport and Recreation category. The City of Novalja won this prestigious award for extreme quality and attractiveness of this event, which enriches the tourist offer with its content while promoting the sustainable development of active tourism, and positions Novalja at the very top of Croatian outdoor destinations. Pristine nature, surrounded by the smell of the sea, rocks and salt, amazes us and represents a true escape from stressful life and a “psychological detox”. Therefore, the racers decided to describe this path “five stars path”.

The traditional annual award “Simply the best” for tourism was established in 2009 with the aim of rewarding quality, innovation, creativity, development and improvement of the tourist offer. The PUT international business and tourism exchange gathers agency, hotel industry and tourism employees, tourist boards and journalists who cover tourism. In addition to presenting content and novelties in tourist offers, the exchange program includes introducing the host and its offer, expert discussions and presentations, together with networking of the participants.
